Touring News · 2027 Model Leak
The Road King may be coming back—and this time, the name appears to be Road King ST.
A trail of Harley-Davidson accessory pages points to 2 more touring models alongside it: the Street Glide ST and Road Glide ST. Here’s what the leak actually shows, why the Road King matters, and what riders still need Harley to confirm.
Motorcycle.com reported finding model-specific 2027 accessory pages on Harley-Davidson’s site for these 3 names. The pages did not show the bikes or provide specifications. Treat the names as a strong clue—not a full official reveal.
What the 2027 Harley leak shows
The strongest evidence is a set of model-specific accessory landing pages reportedly found on Harley-Davidson’s own website. Motorcycle.com reported the names Road King ST, Street Glide ST, and Road Glide ST. Gear Patrol also reported seeing the pages, which were empty and did not show the motorcycles or list their equipment.
That is meaningful evidence, but it is not the same as Harley publishing official model photos, specifications, or prices. The pages point to the names; they do not answer the questions riders are already asking.
Why the Road King is the big story
The standard Road King last appeared for model year 2022. Harley continued to offer the Road King Special through 2025, but neither Road King model appears in the company’s 2026 lineup.
For a lot of touring riders, the Road King has always offered a different kind of ride: hard bags, a classic headlight nacelle, and an open front end without a fixed fairing. The standard Road King used a detachable windshield; the stripped-down Road King Special went without one. That distinction is part of the model’s appeal—and why a Road King ST could mean something different from another fully faired bagger.
But we have not seen a 2027 Road King ST. We don’t yet know whether it will keep the traditional Road King layout, how it will handle wind protection, or what Harley plans to change underneath. The name is the clue. The actual bike is still a question mark.
What the other 2 ST names could mean
Harley’s 2026 lineup includes the Street Glide and Road Glide, while the ST versions appear in the CVO range. The 2 models give riders different fairing choices: the Street Glide’s batwing moves with the fork, while the Road Glide’s sharknose fairing is mounted to the frame.
If non-CVO ST versions return, that could give riders more ways to choose a performance-oriented touring setup without automatically stepping up to a CVO model. That is a possible lineup move—not a confirmed price or equipment promise. Harley has not said what the 2027 models will cost or which components they’ll share with CVO bikes.
“ST” suggests performance—but don’t assume the parts
Harley’s current CVO ST models set a clear performance tone. The company describes them with a 121 High Output engine, fully adjustable SHOWA suspension, Brembo brakes, and weight-saving components. Those are confirmed features of the 2026 CVO bikes—not specifications for the rumored 2027 Road King ST, Street Glide ST, or Road Glide ST.
Until Harley releases the 2027 details, claims about engine size, suspension, power, or shared parts are educated guesses. Riders should not assume accessories or fitment from earlier models will carry over without confirmation.
The reported model names are the news. Engine, suspension, price, bodywork, and fitment are still unknown. We’ll update this when Harley publishes the actual 2027 details.
What touring riders should watch
When Harley makes the 2027 models official, the details that matter won’t just be the badges or paint. Riders will want to know:
- Does the Road King ST keep the classic no-fixed-fairing layout?
- What engine and cooling setup does each model use?
- What suspension comes standard, and how is it tuned?
- What changes for wind protection, passenger comfort, and long-distance riding?
- How do the new models affect accessory fitment and upgrade choices?
- Where will the non-CVO ST models sit in Harley’s lineup?
Those answers will tell us whether these are mainly new trim choices—or a meaningful shift in Harley’s touring lineup.
The early read
The leak points to 3 names, and the Road King ST is the one with the most history behind it. The Street Glide ST and Road Glide ST could also signal that Harley is widening the ST idea beyond CVO. Until the motorcycles and specifications are officially shown, the responsible read is simple: the model names look real; the details are not confirmed.
I’ll be watching for the official reveal, especially to see whether the Road King comes back with the open front-end character riders remember. That’s the part Harley can’t communicate with a model name alone.
When the real specs arrive, we’ll break down what changed, what carries over, and what touring riders should check before choosing parts or making a move.
