Ride Taller — Without Fighting the Bike
Most Street Glides don’t need “crazy tall.”
They need better posture and control.
The Folsom Prison 12" & 14" bars are built for riders who want a natural reach, relaxed shoulders, and confident steering — without turning the bike into a wind sail or a wrestling match.
You sit straighter.
Your wrists stay neutral.
The bike feels lighter in your hands.
It’s the sweet spot between comfort and performance-bagger attitude.

🔧 TAB Handlebars — Rider Questions (Straight Answers)
Will 12" bars fit me, or should I go taller?
12" is the “sweet spot” for most Street Glide riders between 5'7"–6'1" with a stock seat.
14" is the sweet spot for 6'1"-6'7"
- Taller bars ≠ more comfortable
- The goal is neutral wrists and relaxed shoulders
- If you’re very tall, very short, or run a tall seat, we’ll help you size it correctly before you order.
Do I need extended cables?
Sometimes — it depends on:
- model year (2015–2024 varies)
- ABS vs non-ABS
- current risers
- how your lines are routed
We can help you confirm exactly what you’ll need so you’re not stuck mid-install.
Will these change how the bike handles?
Yes — in a good way. Riders usually notice:
- lighter steering feel
- better low-speed balance
- more control in crosswinds
- less shoulder and wrist fatigue on long days
You’re not just changing looks — you’re changing the way the bike fits you.
Are these really bolt-on?
The bars themselves are bolt-on. The variable is cables and wiring.
If extensions are needed, that’s where professional install makes life easier.
How do these compare to ape hangers?
Folsom Prison 12" & 14" bars are:
- more neutral wrist angle
- less shoulder lift
- better touring manners
- still aggressive looking without being extreme
Built for riders who actually put down miles.
Will they work with my factory controls and fairing?
Yes — they’re designed around Street Glide touring setups and most factory components. Fitment stays clean without forcing odd mirror or control positions.
What will I notice on the first ride?
- more relaxed posture
- easier reach to controls
- less upper-back tension
- more confident feel in corners and at highway speed
