KST Patriot Bagger Pre-Wired Handlebars | 14'–23' Harley Street Glide, Electra Glide, Ultra & Trike

BEFORE YOU ORDER
Choose The Bar Around The Riding Position — Not Just The Height
Reach Where your hands actually land matters as much as bar height.
Wrist Position The right geometry should feel natural instead of forcing your wrists into an awkward angle.
Leverage Width, pullback and height all change how much control you have over a heavy Touring bike.
Not sure which height makes sense? Tell us your bike, current bars and what you're trying to change before you order.
Ask A Rider
BEFORE THE INSTALL What Does Your Handlebar Swap Actually Require?

The bar is only one part of the setup. Your Harley year, exact model, chosen bar height, controls, heated grips, brake line, clutch setup, and wiring can all affect what is required.

01
Confirm The Bike

Start with the year and exact Harley model. Small differences between applications can change what is required for installation.

02
Choose The Riding Position

Don't select bars by height alone. Think about reach, wrist angle, pullback, leverage, and where you actually want your hands to sit.

03
Verify The Install

Depending on the bike and bar height, you may need changes to wiring, brake lines, clutch components, or other parts of the setup.

04
Ask Before Guessing

If you're unsure, we'd rather help before you order than have you discover something doesn't work after the bike is already apart.

WHY WE LIKE PRE-WIRED
Spend Less Time Fighting The Wiring

Internal wiring can be one of the most frustrating parts of a Harley handlebar swap. KST pre-wired options help remove a major part of that job so the install can stay cleaner and more straightforward.

Important: Pre-wired does not automatically mean every cable, brake line, clutch component, or extension on your bike will work with every bar height. Requirements can vary by year, model, and setup.

KST Patriot Bagger Handlebars

A Narrower Bar That Brings the Bike Back to You

A taller handlebar does not automatically create a more comfortable riding position. Overall width, pullback, wrist angle, and where your hands naturally land matter just as much.

At 34 inches wide with 6.5 inches of pullback, the KST Patriot Bagger gives Harley Batwing Touring riders a narrower, more natural hand position than many broad bagger bars. The result is easier reach, better leverage, and a more controlled riding position without losing the aggressive appearance of a 1.5-inch handlebar.

The squared Patriot design is a strong fit for riders who want custom bagger styling but do not want their hands pushed unnecessarily wide.

Why Riders Choose the Patriot Bagger

- Narrow 34-inch overall width

- 6.5 inches of pullback for a more natural reach

- Available in 10-, 12-, and 14-inch rises

- Bold squared styling without an excessively wide stance

- Heavy 1.5-inch tubing for a substantial bagger appearance

- Slotted for internal wiring and throttle-by-wire

- Compatible with throttle-by-wire and non-throttle-by-wire models

- Available in polished stainless or high-gloss black

- Fully pre-wired options available for select 2014–2023 models

- Made in the USA

Built for Comfort, Control and Real Touring Miles

Wide handlebars can look good but may leave some riders reaching outward, placing additional strain across the shoulders, wrists, and upper back. The Patriot Bagger’s narrower width helps bring the controls into a more natural position while maintaining leverage over a heavy Touring motorcycle.

That makes the Patriot a strong choice for riders who:

- Feel stretched across the stock or current handlebars

- Want their hands closer to shoulder width

- Experience wrist, shoulder, or upper-back discomfort

- Want an aggressive custom look without extremely broad bars

- Spend long days riding and care about sustained comfort

- Want more confident leverage during turns and low-speed maneuvering

Choose the Right Rise

10-Inch

A moderate step up from the factory 8-inch bars. Best for riders who want improved position and custom styling without placing their hands dramatically higher.

12-Inch — Most Riders Start Here

The best starting point for many Touring riders. It provides a noticeable improvement in posture and hand position while remaining practical for everyday riding and longer trips.

14-Inch

For riders who want a taller cockpit and stronger visual presence. Cable, clutch, and line requirements become more important at this height, especially on later model years.

Your height alone does not determine the correct bar. Seat position, arm length, current bars, preferred wrist position, and how far forward you sit all affect the final fit.

Construction and Measurements

- Overall width: 34 inches tip to tip

- Pullback: 6.5 inches

- Rise options: 10, 12 and 14 inches

- Tubing diameter: 1.5 inches

- Material: CNC mandrel-bent 304 ornamental-grade stainless steel

- Finishes: Polished stainless or high-gloss black

- Factory bar height: Approximately 8 inches

- Wiring: Notched and slotted for internal wiring

- Throttle compatibility: Throttle-by-wire and non-throttle-by-wire

The bars are stepped down in the necessary areas so the 1.5-inch tubing fits the Batwing fairing without requiring fairing modifications.

Fitment

Designed for 1996–2023 Harley-Davidson Batwing Fairing Touring models, including:

- Street Glide

- Electra Glide

- Ultra Classic

- Ultra Limited

- Select Harley Trike models

These bars do not fit the redesigned 2023 CVO or 2024–2026 Street Glide platform.

Always confirm the exact year and model before ordering. Differences in controls, ABS, clutch components, heated grips, existing risers, and previous modifications can change what is required.

Installation Requirements

Handlebar height and motorcycle year determine whether wiring, brake lines, or clutch components require changes.

2014–2023 Models

KST states that 12-inch bars can generally be installed without replacing the factory brake or clutch hoses. Electrical extensions are still required unless an appropriate pre-wired configuration is selected.

On ABS-equipped models, 14-inch bars may work with minor line rerouting.

2021–2023 Models

The 14-inch configuration requires the clutch cable to be extended or replaced. KST offers a four-inch-over-stock clutch extension for this application.

2008–2013 Street Glide Models

KST states that 10-inch bars can use the stock brake, clutch, and electrical components, although minor clutch-cable rerouting is required.

Requirements can vary with the exact model and any previous changes made to the motorcycle. Verify the complete installation before taking the bike apart.

Why We Prefer Pre-Wired

Internal wiring is often one of the most frustrating parts of a Harley handlebar installation. On eligible model years, KST’s fully pre-wired option arrives with the extended electrical harness already routed through the bars.

You still need to install the controls and verify the brake and clutch requirements, but pre-wiring removes a major part of the installation process.

Pre-wired configurations are currently offered for select 2014–2015 and 2016–2023 applications, including options for compatible heated-grip setups.

Before You Order

Send us your:

- Motorcycle year and exact model

- Current handlebar height

- Preferred Patriot rise

- Heated-grip setup

- Any riser or control modifications

- What you want to improve about your current riding position

We will help review the setup before you order. The goal is not simply to install taller bars—it is to put your hands, wrists, and shoulders in a position that still feels right after the miles start stacking up.
