Super Shox Premium SR2 Rear Shocks
Harley-Davidson Street Glide (2002–Present)
Super Shox SR2 rear shocks are hand-built in the USA and configured to a rider-specific baseline based on rider weight, passenger/load, and riding style — so your suspension arrives built around how you actually ride, not a generic factory setup.
Dreaded Iron Moto is an authorized U.S. Super Shox retailer, offering the same pricing as buying direct from the manufacturer, with added rider guidance and post-purchase support.
SR2 = The Touring Upgrade for Riders Who Carry Load
SR2 is the Super Shox model built for riders who want more control under real touring conditions:
- two-up riding
- luggage / loaded bags
- Tour Pack setups
- long highway days
- rough pavement and expansion joints
Where SR1 is comfort-forward simplicity, SR2 adds stability and control under changing load — without losing comfort.
SL vs LT: Same Ride Height — More Travel + More Control
Choose the setup based on the experience you want:
SL Shock (Traditional Stock Setup)
A premium touring upgrade that improves damping, comfort, and stability using the stock mounting position.
LT Shock (Most Riders Choose This)
Adds more usable rear travel using a relocation kit — the best option if you ride loaded, ride two-up often, or want maximum comfort and control on rough pavement. Most riders choose this.
Important: Both options maintain stock ride height when set up properly.
LT does not mean “taller.” It means more travel and more control.
What Riders Notice First (Real Touring Benefit)
SR2 is built for the stuff touring riders actually feel:
- small bumps and expansion joints stop beating you up
- less upper-back fatigue (between the shoulder blades)
- less tailbone soreness after long days
- more stability when the rear is loaded down
- calmer, more planted feel at highway speed
- less rear-end “kick” when roads get choppy
A lot of riders don’t realize how much stock suspension is draining them until they ride a shock that’s built correctly.
Spherical Bearing Mount (Traction + Lean Performance)
Super Shox uses a spherical bearing mount, allowing the shock to twist naturally as you lean the bike. That means smoother shock movement and more consistent traction in corners compared to stock rubber-bushing mounts.
Tool-Free Adjustability (Built for Real Load Changes)
SR2 includes tool-free preload adjustment, making it easy to dial in for:
- solo riding
- solo + gear
- two-up
- two-up + luggage
Every set includes a setup chart that shows where to start — so you’re not chasing settings, you’re refining a setup that already makes sense.
SR2 is Ideal For
- Two-up riding
- Touring with luggage or a Tour Pack
- Riders who frequently change load
- Long-distance travel where control matters
- Riders who want comfort AND stability without harshness
Ride Height & Shock Length
Super Shox shock lengths are listed based on real-world installed ride height once properly set up, not raw eye-to-eye measurements.
Because each set is built to rider weight and load, uninstalled shocks may measure slightly longer. Once installed and adjusted to the recommended baseline, the bike settles into its intended ride height with proper sag and suspension travel.
