BEFORE THE INSTALL What Does Your Handlebar Swap Actually Require?
The bar is only one part of the setup. Your Harley year, exact model, chosen bar height, controls, heated grips, brake line, clutch setup, and wiring can all affect what is required.
Start with the year and exact Harley model. Small differences between applications can change what is required for installation.
Don't select bars by height alone. Think about reach, wrist angle, pullback, leverage, and where you actually want your hands to sit.
Depending on the bike and bar height, you may need changes to wiring, brake lines, clutch components, or other parts of the setup.
If you're unsure, we'd rather help before you order than have you discover something doesn't work after the bike is already apart.

2015–2023 Harley-Davidson Road Glide
The KST Kustoms Spearhead gives your Road Glide an aggressive meat-hook profile without locking you into one fixed hand position.
Its three-piece adjustable design lets you change the pullback and hand position to better match your reach, posture, and riding preference. The 1.5-inch outside diameter gives the front of the bike a strong, substantial appearance while retaining a 1.25-inch knurled clamping section designed for the factory Road Glide mounting location.
This Dreaded Iron Moto listing includes KST’s pre-wired bundle, saving you the most frustrating part of running switch wiring internally through a custom handlebar.

What “Pre-Wired” Includes
Your handlebar arrives with the left and right hand-control switch harnesses already installed inside the bars.
Pull wires are also installed to help route the factory throttle-by-wire harness and heated-grip harness. If your motorcycle has heated grips, select Yes so the required heated-grip wiring can be included.
This substantially reduces the internal-wiring work, but normal installation and transfer of the remaining factory controls are still required.

Designed for 2015–2023 Harley-Davidson Road Glide models, including:

- Compatible Road Glide CVO models
Does not fit the redesigned 2023 Road Glide CVO.
If your motorcycle has aftermarket risers or changes from the factory handlebar mounting system, contact us before ordering so we can verify the required clamping diameter.
Cable and Extension Requirements
2015–2020 Road Glide
KST states that the 10-inch, 12-inch and 14-inch options can be installed without replacing or extending the factory brake, clutch or electrical systems when used with the stock setup.
2021–2023 Road Glide
- 10-inch and 12-inch bars can be installed without replacing the factory brake and clutch lines or extending the electrical system.
- The 14-inch option requires a clutch extension.
- Other modifications to the motorcycle may change these requirements.
Always confirm control-line clearance through the full steering range before operating the motorcycle.
