Preset for you
Your shocks come from Super Shox already set for you and your bike. Install them and ride.
Super Shox builds each set for the rider and the bike, using the rider profile from your order. You don't start from a generic factory setting.
Your shocks come from Super Shox already set for you and your bike. Install them and ride.
Every set comes with a load chart made for that rider. It shows where to set the shocks when the load changes, for example with a passenger or luggage.
If they feel too stiff, dial back one notch. If they feel too soft, go up one notch. Then ride and see.
Why there's no settings table on this page: your chart is specific to you. A generic table built for someone else could steer you the wrong way, so use the chart that came with your shocks.
Super Shox carries a limited lifetime warranty to the original purchaser for manufacturer defects, for the life of the product. You activate it by registering.
Super Shox asks you to complete its warranty registration form to activate the limited lifetime warranty.
Each shock has its own serial number, on the underside of the monotube gas chamber. The form asks for both.
Damage from misuse, improper installation, or use beyond the shock's designed intention isn't covered.
Install your shocks using the instructions that come with them. If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, have a shop do it: improper installation isn't covered by the warranty.
SR2 and RR1 use Super Shox relocation mounts, which come with the set. Follow the included instructions for the mounts and the shocks.
See the trike notes below before you start. Trike shocks mount differently.
This is the whole process. Most riders only touch it when their load changes.

Your shocks arrive already set for you. Only move them when your chart shows a different setting for the load you're carrying.
Give it a real ride on roads you know before you change anything.
Harsh or too firm over bumps: dial back one notch, then ride again.
Soft, wallowy or bottoming: go up one notch, then ride again.
If one-notch changes don't get you there, stop adjusting and ask us. Email support@dreadediron.com with your bike, your load and the setting you're on.

From Super Shox's trike guidance:
Trike Super Shox are typically mounted inverted so you can reach the preload collar.
Preload changes are easier with the rear of the trike lightened (lifted). Once you find the setting for your usual solo and two-up mix, most riders leave it there.
14.5" shocks mount to the stock mounts. Don't combine them with a lift kit.
For 14.5" on a 2017+ trike with the stock head pipe and cat, plan on the Super Shox extension pipe SR1-1127-1, unless you run an aftermarket head pipe to muffler.

RR1 is race-derived: a remote reservoir design with external compression adjustment. Your load chart still covers the preload side.
Like every set, RR1 arrives set up for you. Ride it on your normal roads before you change compression.
Ask us before you start turning it. Email support@dreadediron.com with what you're feeling and where you ride.
One change at a time, then ride. No numbers here: your chart is the reference.
