Choose the Riding Position—Not Just the Bar Height
The right KST handlebars should place your hands naturally while improving comfort and control. Height matters, but it is only one part of the fit.

Not sure on rise, wiring, or fitment? A rider will help you confirm it before you commit.
Internal wiring can be one of the most frustrating parts of a Harley handlebar swap. KST pre-wired options help remove a major part of that job so the install can stay cleaner and more straightforward.
Fitment & Installation What Does Your Bison Bagger Setup Require? See year-specific wiring, clutch and line requirements
Fully pre-wired handlebars simplify the electrical portion of the installation, but your brake line, clutch components, controls, and other requirements can still change by year and height.
Fully pre-wired describes the compatible electrical wiring routed inside the handlebars. It does not automatically include every clutch cable, hydraulic line, brake line, control, or mechanical extension your motorcycle may require.
Aftermarket risers, custom controls, previously extended wiring, non-stock brake lines, clutch changes, relocated turn signals, or other cockpit modifications can change the requirements above.
Installation guidance assumes an otherwise factory-style handlebar, riser, control, brake, and clutch configuration.
- Verify full steering movement in both directions
- Confirm that wiring and lines do not stretch or bind
- Check throttle operation at full left and right lock
- Confirm clearance from the fairing and fuel tank
- Follow the correct service information and torque specifications
American-Made Harley Handlebars Why Riders Choose KST Kustoms Construction, ergonomics, pre-wiring and manufacturer support
KST gives Harley riders a way to change the motorcycle’s appearance while also addressing what matters once the bike is moving: reach, wrist position, leverage, control, and long-distance comfort.
We focus on how the handlebar fits your motorcycle, riding position, and installation—not simply which style looks good in a product photo.
KST BISON BAGGER About The Bison Bagger
The KST Bison Bagger is built for riders who want a wider, more substantial handlebar without treating comfort and control like an afterthought.
At 37.5 inches tip-to-tip with 8 inches of pullback, the Bison creates a broad, aggressive bagger stance while still keeping the controls in a usable Touring position.
The 1.5-inch tubing gives the bike a noticeably heavier visual presence than a typical factory bar, while KST steps the bars down where needed for proper Batwing fairing and control fitment.
SIZE • POSITION • CONSTRUCTION Specs & Rider Position
Tip-to-tip width creates the Bison's broad hand position and distinctive bagger stance.
Pullback helps keep the controls from simply moving straight up and farther away from the rider.
Choose the rise around your desired riding position and installation requirements — not rider height alone.
T304 stainless construction with a much more substantial visual profile than a standard factory bar.
Rise is only one part of fit. Your current bars, seat position, arm reach, pullback, wrist angle, shoulder position, and the riding posture you're trying to achieve all matter.
PRE-WIRED OPTION What Does Pre-Wired Mean?
Internal wiring is often one of the most frustrating parts of a Harley handlebar installation. That's one of the biggest reasons Dreaded Iron Moto focuses heavily on KST's pre-wired options.
On supported 2014–2023 Touring applications, KST's fully pre-wired setup can arrive with the left and right switch harnesses already routed through the handlebars, along with the throttle-by-wire sensor harness and heated-grip splice when applicable.
The full-length harness is extended to accommodate bars up to 16 inches, helping eliminate a large part of the internal wiring work.
FITMENT & INSTALL What Does My Harley Require?
KST states that the 12-inch Bison can be installed on these models without replacing the brake or clutch hoses.
On ABS-equipped models, KST states the 14-inch bars can be installed with minor rerouting.
KST states the clutch cable must be extended or replaced. A +4-inch over-stock clutch cable is listed as sufficient.
What riders say about KST
Pre-wired recommended. In the owner threads we read, riders who wired bars themselves often called the internal wiring the hardest part of the job, and several said pre-wired was worth paying for. The pre-wired options on this page arrive with that wiring done.
Owner comments about the KST Bison Bagger, paraphrased:
- A Street Glide CVO owner who chose 14" Bison bars said they fit him well, and that ordering them with the wires already inside the bar is what made the install easy. KST Kustoms website testimonial, undated; model year not stated (Bison model family). See it on KST’s site
