Before You Choose Your Setup

Choose the Riding Position—Not Just the Bar Height

The right KST handlebars should place your hands naturally while improving comfort and control. Height matters, but it is only one part of the fit.

Reach Where your hands actually land matters as much as how tall the handlebars are.
Wrist Position The correct geometry should feel natural instead of forcing your wrists into an uncomfortable angle.
Leverage Width, pullback, height, and rotation all affect your control over a heavy Harley Touring motorcycle.

WHY WE LIKE PRE-WIRED
Spend Less Time Fighting The Wiring

Internal wiring can be one of the most frustrating parts of a Harley handlebar swap. KST pre-wired options help remove a major part of that job so the install can stay cleaner and more straightforward.

Important: Pre-wired does not automatically mean every cable, brake line, clutch component, or extension on your bike will work with every bar height. Requirements can vary by year, model, and setup.
Fitment & Installation What Does Your Reduced Reach Setup Require? See year-specific wiring, clutch and line requirements
Start with your exact motorcycle year and selected bar height.

Fully pre-wired handlebars simplify the electrical portion of the installation, but your brake line, clutch components, controls, and other requirements can still change by year and height.

Product Fitment
1996–2023 Harley-Davidson Batwing Touring Street Glide (2006–2023), Electra Glide, Ultra Classic and Ultra Limited with the batwing fairing. Batwing trikes: confirm fitment with us first. Does not fit the 2023 CVO Street Glide or the 2024-newer Street Glide platform.
Installation Guidance by Model Year
1996–2013 Verify Before Ordering

Requirements vary across these earlier motorcycles. Wiring, throttle configuration, brake lines, clutch components, factory controls, and the selected rise must be confirmed before ordering.

  • Confirm cable-throttle or throttle-by-wire configuration
  • Verify brake-line and clutch length
  • Confirm electrical extension requirements
  • Check for non-stock risers or controls
Fully Pre-Wired Does Not Mean Every Installation Part Is Included

Fully pre-wired describes the compatible electrical wiring routed inside the handlebars. It does not automatically include every clutch cable, hydraulic line, brake line, control, or mechanical extension your motorcycle may require.

Does Your Bike Have Existing Modifications?

Aftermarket risers, custom controls, previously extended wiring, non-stock brake lines, clutch changes, relocated turn signals, or other cockpit modifications can change the requirements above.

Installation guidance assumes an otherwise factory-style handlebar, riser, control, brake, and clutch configuration.

Before Riding
  • Verify full steering movement in both directions
  • Confirm that wiring and lines do not stretch or bind
  • Check throttle operation at full left and right lock
  • Confirm clearance from the fairing and fuel tank
  • Follow the correct service information and torque specifications
American-Made Harley Handlebars Why Riders Choose KST Kustoms Construction, ergonomics, pre-wiring and manufacturer support
More than a different look.

KST gives Harley riders a way to change the motorcycle’s appearance while also addressing what matters once the bike is moving: reach, wrist position, leverage, control, and long-distance comfort.

T304 Stainless Steel The Reduced Reach uses 1.25-inch T304 ornamental-grade stainless-steel tubing with CNC mandrel-bent construction.
Fit First

Easier Starting Point
Fully Pre-Wired Options Compatible electrical wiring is routed through the handlebars before shipment, removing one of the most frustrating parts of the installation.
Premium Finish
Polished or High-Gloss Black Choose hand-polished stainless steel for a bright, chrome-like appearance or high-gloss black for a darker custom Touring build.
Manufacturer Support
Limited Lifetime Warranty KST provides a limited lifetime warranty against qualifying manufacturing defects, subject to KST’s warranty terms, exclusions, and inspection.
Why Buy Through Dreaded Iron Moto?
The manufacturer builds the bars. We help you choose the setup.

We focus on how the handlebar fits your motorcycle, riding position, and installation—not simply which style looks good in a product photo.
