TRI GLIDE & FREEWHEELER REAR SUSPENSION

The Super Shox Setup We Recommend For Most Trike Riders

For Harley Tri Glide and Freewheeler models, Super Shox SR1 Premier 14.5-inch shocks are where we recommend starting. The longer setup gives the suspension more room to work for better comfort, control and clearance under real touring loads.

OUR TRI GLIDE & FREEWHEELER PICK
SR1 • 14.5"
Premier Trike Series

Built for Harley three-wheel applications and configured around your rider weight, passenger use, luggage and normal riding load. The goal isn't simply a firmer shock — it's giving the suspension the travel and setup needed to better control the weight of the trike.

More Travel Better bump absorption More Clearance Helps on inclines & dips Built For Your Load Rider + passenger + gear Easy Preload Adjust as your load changes
14.5" FITMENT NOTE
2017+ stock exhaust applications may require the Super Shox exhaust extension pipe. The additional shock length requires proper swingarm-to-exhaust clearance. The 14.5" shocks install in the stock shock location and should not be combined with a separate lift kit.
Your shocks are configured around how your trike is actually used. Rider weight, passenger weight, luggage and typical load are collected so the spring and damping setup can be built around your application — not pulled from a generic one-size-fits-all shelf.
CONFIDENCE BEFORE IT'S BUILT
We verify your fitment and rider information before the order moves forward. If something doesn't look right, we'd rather catch it before your shocks are built than leave you trying to solve it after they arrive.
WHY SUPER SHOX ON A HARLEY TRIKE?

A Trike Asks More From Its Rear Suspension

A Tri Glide or Freewheeler carries significant rear weight, and that load changes quickly with a passenger, Tour Pack, luggage and trip gear. Super Shox SR1 is built around that three-wheel application and configured around how your trike is actually used.

Built Around The Actual Load Rider weight, passenger weight, luggage and normal riding load are used to configure the suspension before the shocks are built.
More Suspension Travel The 14.5-inch setup gives the suspension more room to absorb rough pavement instead of transferring every hit into the trike.
Better Rear Clearance The longer setup improves clearance through dips, inclines and the uneven roads touring trikes regularly encounter.
WHY YOUR RIDER INFORMATION MATTERS

The shock itself is only part of the setup.

Two people can ride the same Tri Glide and place very different demands on the rear suspension. A solo rider traveling light is asking something different from the shocks than a rider carrying a passenger, Tour Pack and several days of gear.

That's why we collect your rider, passenger and load information. Super Shox uses it to configure the suspension around your actual load and riding use — not to decide which shock series you need.

14.5" INSTALLATION NOTE
Proper exhaust clearance matters. On certain 2017+ applications retaining the factory head pipe and catalytic converter, the Super Shox exhaust extension is needed to provide proper clearance for the longer suspension setup.
CONFIDENCE BEFORE IT'S BUILT
We verify the setup before your order moves forward.

We review your bike and rider information before the shocks move into the build process. If something doesn't look right, we'd rather catch it before they're built than leave you trying to solve it afterward.
