They carry more weight, handle differently, and require proper suspension setup to stay stable, controlled, and comfortable—especially when riding two-up or fully loaded.
The Super Shox SR1 Premier Trike setup is built specifically for that reality.
Every set is:
👉 This is not an off-the-shelf shock — it’s built for how you actually ride.
Trikes put more constant load on the rear suspension.
SR1 Premier shocks are tuned to keep the rear planted, controlled, and predictable — not soft and wallowy.
This setup uses a 14.5" long-travel shock to increase usable suspension travel.
That means:

Your shocks are built using your exact setup:

This setup includes a required exhaust extension (+$155).
The longer 14.5" shock creates additional suspension travel.

If you’re coming from an earlier Tri-Glide (like 2015 and prior), you may notice this setup is different.
That’s because Harley-Davidson changed the rear suspension design on newer trike models.
Earlier models used an air-assisted suspension system, while newer Freewheeler and Road Glide 3 models use a dual shock setup with different mounting and travel characteristics.
Because of these changes, suspension upgrades are not interchangeable between older and newer trikes.
👉 This system is specifically designed for 2017–2025 Tri-Glide/Trike models to ensure proper fitment, clearance, and performance.
This setup uses a longer 14.5" shock with increased suspension travel.
That added travel allows the suspension to move more over bumps and under load, improving comfort and control.
Because of the longer travel and different geometry of the newer trike models, additional clearance is required to prevent interference.
