Super Shox Premium SR2 Rear Shocks
Harley-Davidson Road Glide (2002–Present)
Super Shox SR2 rear shocks are hand-built in the USA and configured to a rider-specific baseline based on weight, load, and riding style — so your suspension arrives built around how you actually ride, not a generic factory rider.
Dreaded Iron Moto is an authorized U.S. Super Shox retailer, offering the same pricing as buying direct with added rider-focused guidance and post-purchase support.
SR2 = The Touring Sweet Spot (Comfort + Control)
SR2 is built for riders who want all-day comfort, but also want the bike to feel more stable, planted, and predictable when the road gets rough or the bike gets heavy.
It’s the ideal upgrade for:
-
riders who tour long distance
-
riders who ride two-up
-
riders who carry luggage or a Tour Pack
-
riders who frequently change load and want a shock that adapts easily
SR2 is where most serious touring riders land because it balances:
plush comfort + confident control.
SL vs LT — Choose Your Setup (Important)
SR2 is offered in two setups depending on how you ride:
SL Shock (Stock Mount)
Direct bolt-on stock mount configuration. Best for riders who want maximum comfort + stability with the simplest install.
LT Shock (Extra Travel + Relocation Kit Included)
Includes the relocation kit and adds extra suspension travel for riders who want the most planted rear-end and the most control under load — without changing ride stance when properly set up. Most riders choose this set up.
Both setups are designed to maintain correct ride stance when installed and adjusted properly. LT is not a lift kit — it adds travel and control.
Installation & Hardware
SR2 is a direct bolt-on system.
No cutting or permanent modifications are required. Professional installation is recommended to ensure proper setup and alignment.
What SR2 Feels Like
This is what most riders notice first:
-
expansion joints and small bumps stop beating you up
-
less fatigue (especially upper back and tailbone)
-
the rear end stays planted instead of stepping out
-
more stability at speed and in corners
-
major comfort improvement for passengers two-up
Spherical Bearing Mount (Why It’s Better Than Stock)
Super Shox uses a spherical bearing mount, allowing the shock to twist naturally as the bike leans. That means the suspension moves more freely under real riding conditions — improving traction, control, and ride quality compared to the stock rubber-bushing feel.
Tool-Free Adjustability (Made for Real Riders)
SR2 is built for real touring changes — gear, passenger, different trips.
Super Shox makes it easy:
-
tool-free preload adjustment
-
setup chart included so you have a correct baseline immediately
-
easy to adjust for solo vs two-up vs luggage without guessing
You’re not chasing settings — you’re refining a setup designed around your load.
Ride Height & Shock Length
SR2 shock lengths reflect real-world installed ride height once properly set up, not raw eye-to-eye measurements.
Because each set is configured to rider weight and load, uninstalled shocks may measure slightly longer. Once installed and set to the recommended baseline, the bike settles into its intended ride height with correct sag, geometry, and suspension travel.
Color Options
SR2 shocks are available in multiple color finishes, so you can match your build while upgrading performance.
